Android Taking Over iPhone In Future Consumer Buy Plans

A recent survey by ChangeWave shows that Android has overtaken the iPhone as the mobile OS that smart phone buyers plan to buy in 2010. In Dec 2009 it is Android’s 21 percent vs iPhone’s 28 percent and fast forward to March 2010 and Android tops interest to 30 percent while iPhone’s at 29 percent. A mere 1 percent win but a win is a win.
This trend shows that Android will be a growing threat to the iPhone OS X. The other competing platforms such as RIM, Windows Mobile saw a drop in interest. In the satisfaction area though the iPhone leads at 76 percent while Android is a near second with 65 percent.
