Nokia X6 Out In The UK and Finland

Nokia X6 debuted during Nokia World and is currently available in the UK and Finland.

The specs for the phone are a 3.2 inch touch screen with 360 x 640 pixel resolution, 3G with HSDPA support, Wi-fi and AD2P Bluetooth, internal memory of 32GB, 5 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens, autofocus with dua-LED flash, GPS and runs on Symbian S60 5th edition operationg system.

As a music phone is comes loaded with the Comes With Music service where you can download as many songs as you want for free and also comes with a 3.5mm jack socket.

The Nokia 5730 XpressMusic is one of the music handsets announced by Nokia recently and is the first Nokia music centric handset to include a QWERTY keyboard as well as dedicated gaming keys.

The S60 smartphone specs include a 2.4 inch 240 x 320 pixel (QVGA) screen that displays up to 16 million colors, 3D engine and backlighting and ambient light sensor, a 3.2 megapixel camera with Carl Zeis lens as well as a 2nd front VGA camera, 3.5 mm audio connector, 100MB internal memory, 8GB MicroSD memory card and support for 16GB, WLAN 802.11 b/g and HSDPA 3.6 enabled, and bluetooth 2.0. The phone dimensions are 112 x 51/80 x 15.4 mm and weighs 135g.

The Nokia 5030 XpressRadio is one of the handsets unveiled by Nokia recently which is Nokia’s debut offering with an internal FM radio antenna. A simple and economical phone, it comes in two colors - red and graphite.

Specs of the Nokia 5030 XpressRadio includes a 1.8 inch 128 x 160 pixels (TFT) screen that displays up to 65k colors, dedicated FM radio and channel selection keys, 2.5mm audio socket, MP3 grade ringtones, SMS storage up to 250 messages, GSM talktime of 10hrs 15 mins and FM radio plaback of 24 hrs. Dimensions of the phone are 107.7 x 44.6 x 14.55 mm and weighs 82g.

The Nokia 5330 XpressMusic is one of the music centric handsets unveiled by Nokia recently which comes with an edgy top sliced designed. One of its cool feature is the illumination effect where the keypad will light up according to your mood and the music that you are listening to.

The music phone will hook up seamlessly to the Nokia Music store which is to rival Apple’s iTunes store. Users would be able to download as they want within a 12 or 18 month period.

The Nokia 5330 XpressMusic is a slider phone and the specs includes a 2.4 inch 240 x 320 QVGA display up to 16 million colours with True Colour TFT, 3.2 megapixel camera, internal memory of 32 MB and includes 64MB flash memory, microSD expansion slot up to 2GB, triband UMTS without HSDPA, GPS with Nokia maps, 3.5mm audio socket, GSM up to 7hrs and 45 mins, WCDMA up to 5 hrs. Dimensions of the phone are 101.2 x 48.5 x 14.05 mm and weighs 113 g.

The Nokia 5330 will be avalaible in the third quarter of 2009 at the price of 160 Euros or approximately 206 USD before tax and subsidies.

Nokia 5800 XpressMusic Problems In The US

The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic was launched in the US few days ago but had problems with connections to US 3G networks. Only a small number of devices are not connecting with 3G networks but the device has been removed from sale at two flagship stores in the US. Nokia is currently investigating this issue so sales has been halted. The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic has met with great sales in Europe and marketed as Nokia’s response to the iPhone, there will be high expectations on how the phone will fare in the United States.

Expansys website was recently spotted with the Nokia N97 32GB headset with a whopping price of €844.99 approximately US$1063 and gets an expected release date of 23 June 2009. Well great specs comes with great pricing as well. Anyone who was thinking of getting one has more than enough time to save since this will only come out in June.

Nokia 5800 XpressMusic Available In The US

Nokia’s first touch screen phone, Nokia 5800 XpressMusic is now available in Nokia stores the United States after a burgeoning success in Europe. A music service comes with the phone that give users one year of unlimited access to the entire Nokia Music Store catalogue.

Features include 3.2inch widescreen display, VGA quality video recording and playback, 3.2 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens, graphic equalizer, 8GB memory for up to 6000 tracks and a 3.5mm jack. Various input methods are offered including a virtual alphanumeric keypad, a virtual QWERTY keyboard and a stylus pen.

Available for $399 before tax and subsidies, it will also come with a $50 voucher for Amazon Video on Demand for a limited time. The voucher will allow you to download thousands of movies or TV titles.

Orange And O2 Wants Nokia To Remove Skype From N97

Orange and O2, two UK mobile operators are threatening not to carry on the Nokia N97 after its inclusion of a mobile version Skype sent these two cellular service providers fuming. Terrified that their profits will plunge if users choose the low cost VoIP Skype service, they remained a closed door attitude and reinforced their zero tolerance against low-cost calls.

Some other mobile operators though has a more open attitude where they would offer a handset with Skype capabilities. They see that including VoIP software on mobile phones would actually lead to more sales and at this time of economic crisis, more people would definitely opt for lower cost calls.

Fennec - Mobile Firefox Goes Alpha

Fennec alpha 1 is an early developer release of the mobile version of Firefox which you can download at Mozilla as a test run currently only available Nokia Internet Tablets - the N800 and N810.

You can also try out on the computer as it will run on a Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. Fennec will also have touch screen support and other mobile features. More info on the release can be found at Mozilla.
