Samsung i450 - A Music Dedicated Symbian Smartphone

Samsung i450

In an attempt to challenge the long ruling Sony Ericsson with its Walkman brand, Samsung works together with Bang & Olufsen to introduce the Samsung i450. This attempt may be futile as it doesn’t have the branding to beat the Walkman however the quality is its music is unquestionable with credits given to the “ICEpower” amplifier technology.

The Samsung i450 mimicks the Nokia N95 sliding design but comes in 2 sliding modes - First is by sliding down to access the numeric keypad. Secondly is to slide it up to reveal a pair of speakers. Plus, the display flips between portrait and landscape depending on how it is being held, either vertically or horizontally.

Some of the Samsung i450’s other specifications are:
- 2.4″ screen
- 2.0 megapixel camera
- VGA video camera
- HSDPA
- Symbian OS v9.2 and S60 3rd edition
- Supports 4GB microSD cards

Samsung Brix Modular Impressive Concept Phone

Samsung Brix Concept Phone 01

The Samsung Brix is indeed an impressive concept phone that is presented by the Samsung Art and Design Institute. It is a modular that comes with a full touch screen display whereby users are allowed to add additional brick modules to its original platform. This is useful especially, say for example, when the user finds the screen too small to enjoy a good movie therefore adds more bricks to have a bigger display.

Although the Samsung Brix is merely a concept phone by an outsider designer team, in fact, Samsung has been exploring similar ideas to make such a concept phone come to life.
