Samsung has officially confirmed its new SGH-i550 GPS phone that comes in a dimension of 115 x 53 x 13.8 with a bright 2.6″ display. Appearing rather big, it is in fact thinner than an N95 and it is also quite unusual for a Samsung phone to stand so tall plus having its keypad resembling so much to that of Sony Ericsson.

Samsung SGH-i550 is a Symbian OS S60 based smartphone therefore the navigation and overall look will feel very familiar for Nokia users. It also has very tight Google interaction with Google’s search box appearing at the bottom of the front screen.

Sufficiently equipped with a 3.2 megapixel camera that comes with flash and autofocus, picture taking on this phone is easily optimized. It practically has everything a cool 3G phone needs to have which even includes 3.6Mbps connectivity, Bluetooth 2.0, built-in GPS navigation, 3.5mm headset jack, 128MB RAM, microSD card slot.

This awesome handset is expected to ship in November 2007.

LG Telekom rolled out two new handsets Samsung SPHW3150 and LG-LH2000 which support ‘CDMA2000 1x EV-DO Rev.A’. The Samsung SPHW3150 employs a 2.2 inch LCD that adopts T-DMB with video call and mp3 player while the LG features a swing style 2.2 inch LCS and supports T-DMB video call as well.

Samsung F330 designed in Ultra Edition II slider format is a stylish 3G music phone that offers its users enhanced acoustic capabilities and professional sound quality. As a further add-on to its listening experience, it has a multi-format music player with a dedicated music interface enabling easy navigation and a Quick PC Sync software as well as USB 2.0 for seamless music transfers between the computer and phone. It can also play MPEG4 video on its 2.1-inch 262K color display screen at 240×320 pixels.

Having all the basic phone features, this hand set comes equipped with an integrated autofocus 2.0 megapixel camera, Bluetooth connectivity, wireless stereo support and FM radio.

The Samsung i760 that has been announced to be launched on the 24th September is already seen in the market - out more than a week earlier than anticipated. This Windows Mobile Smartphone comes with a 32bit Samsung SC32442 processor that runs at a speed of 400 Mhz, 128MB ROM, 64MB RAM.

Being relatively thin, estimated to be as thick as a Motorola RAZR, this device is still able to offer its user the convenience by having a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. It also has a large screen of 2.8 inch with 65k color but comes sadly with a 1.3 megapixel camera.

It has been reported that this slick handset is now available at Verizon where a 2 year contract will cost $399 plus $50 MIR and a 1 year contract will cost $459.99 plus $50 MIR. Customers are finding the prices too costly resulting in extensive public disagreements and negative evaluations.

The Samsung SGH-800 will be introduced later this year and is an ultra thin slider phone that features a 5 megapixel camera with 3x optical zoom. This phone brings Samsung into the high resolution market and is one of the top models from Samsung. It comes with microSD and microSDHC flash memory support and the killer application would have to be the mobile TV services since the Samsung SGH-800 supports HSDPA connectivity next to the standard GPRS and EDGE.

Samsung F700 aka Samsung Croix is coming out on the Vodafone this Christmas which was earlier described as the iPhone killer. It is a triband GSM (900/1800/1900) slider phone with a full QWERTY keyboard and has a touchscreen display that supports 262k colors with a resolution of 240 x 440 pixels. It has a 5 Megapixel camera with autofocus and supports EDGE, GPRS, UMTS and HSPDA. The pricing is still unknown but the Samsung F700 is rumored to come free with a monthly contract. Besides the iphone killer announcement, Vodafone also announced a deal with Ominifone that allows creators of MusicStation to download tracks from Universal Music Group, Sony BMG Music Entertainment, Warner Music Group and EMI Music directly to the handset.

Daimaou of Akihabara found the SCH-B550 while browsing through the Samsung December catalog. The SCH-B550 is primarily designed for videogames and many other features such as the DMB mobile TV, mp3 player, a 2 Megapixel camera and bluetooth support. Unfortunately this phone is currently only available in Korea.

Engadget has found leaked pictures of the Samsung SGH-i607 coming to Cingular as seen from the logo at the bottom of the phone. It is not verified whether it is a fake picture or not. This WinMo SmartPhone will bring quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE/HSPDA data, Bluetooth, MicroSD expansion and a side mounted scroll wheel.
