LG GD900 - Transparent Keyboard Phone Video

The LG GD900 was unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona last month which sports a transparent keyboard that might prove popular among the fashion conscious.The world’s first transparent design, the keypad illuminates a cool glow when the GD900 is slided open. The keypad will even glow in the dark and probably a thin transparent membrane is applied on top to register the key when it is pressed.

The features of the LG GD900 is still being kept under wrap but is scheduled to be released in the second quarter of 2009. We will taking a close watch on this fashionable accessory.

iPhone App Gun Simulator Sparks Controversy

Bored with your iPhone? You can turn it now into a gun simulator thanks to RnSK Bang Bang iPhone app which recreates the sound of several firearms using authentic Holluwood special effects. I have mixed feelings about it as this app could mislead youngsters on the dangers of guns while if people would just take it non-serious it could just be some mayhem fun.

RnSK Softronics says that each gun is carefully crafted all the way down to the specific look, realistic options and unique animations of the real world gun they’re based on. There’s even a safety to keep things responsible. It has undoubtly got the approval from Apple and it’s currently available in the App Store.

Sony Ericsson W995 Video Tour From MWC 2009

The guys at Mobile Choice takes a first look at the Sony Ericsson W995, the latest walkman phone which was unveiled at the GSMA Mobile World Congress held on 16-19 Feb 2009 in Barcelona.

The phone in Cosmic Silver looks similar to other phones in the walkman series and this demo takes a look at the different features such as wifi connectivity, GPS services, walkman player, auto rotation, video bar with sony xmb style icons, built in stand. Price has not been revealed yet for this phone.

The Google Mobile App allows history to be stored for previous query searches, as well as access to other Google properties such as Google Maps, Calendar and Docs.

Panasonic P905i Demo - Better Than The iPhone

Wired featured an article ‘Why the Japanese Hate the iPhone‘ a day ago and most iPhone enthusiasts would be startled why the Japanese would not love the popular touch screen phone. Cellphones are more of a fashion accessory in Japan than in the United States and some of their choices like the Panasonic P905i offers much more than the Apple iPhone.

This demo of the Panasonic P905i show features on the phone which doubles as a 3 inch TV and also includes 3G, GPS, a 5.1 megapixel camera and motion sensors for Wii-style games and shows how lacking the iPhone is in comparison. Other specs of the phone include a resolution of 480 x 854 pixel, 3.2 inch color screen using VIERA high definition technology and supports HSDPA technology.

Samsung TouchWiz Coming To US Market

Samsung TouchWiz is a widget based touchscreen interface that will be coming to the US market in late 2008 and early 2009 through several full touchscreen devices such as the F480 amd i900 Omnia. Above shows the Korean popular launched Anycall Haptic that uses the TouchWiz UI which sold more than 75,000 units in the first three weeks.

The TouchWiz has specially designed widgets which you can customize and personalize the way they are used. Users can simply drag and drop widgets onto the phone home screen.
