Google has been keeping mum about its gPhone which is expected to consist of an operating system and mobile versions of Google’s existing software. The world’s largest web search engine is venturing into a foreign market and scarce information has been known about their model. Earlier on, Google strike a special agreement with LG to get its Youtube video application onto an upcoming mobile device and even Carier AT&T with handset maker handpicked the Google applications consisting of search, Youtube and Maps.

Some of the companies jockeying for a place on Google’s platform which BusinessWeek.com has learned are Plusmo (company that pulls together blogs and news items and sends them to cell phones) and Nuance Communication (a maker of speech recognition software used in mobile directory asistance services). The buzz about Google’s phone among mobile developers are also well under way. Google’s ultimate goal would be to earn revenue from the mobile advertising which is still a large untapped market.
