HTC Releases A Line Of Handsets - HTC P6500, HTC S730 and HTC Shift

HTC

All expected in the Q4 of 2007, HTC, best known for their Windows smartphones has unleashed a line of HTC handsets running the Windows Mobile 6 Operating System namely the HTC 6500, HTC S730, HTC Shift and HTC Dual Touch which we will have a quick look below:

HTC P6500

The HTC P6500 is primarily aimed at large corporate customers who require a platform that they can build business applications on and will probably not be available through standard retail outlets. It has a large 3.5″ 240×320 pixel anti-glare touchscreen, a 3 megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, a barcode scanner, a fingerprint sensor for security, twin SDIO ports, built-in GPS, WiFi and Bluetooth 2.0.

HTC S730

The HTC S730 is an HSDPA capable 3.5G smartphone with a double in clock speed processor. There is a 2.4″ QVGA display, however, not a touchscreen, and owns a QWERTY keyboard. It comes sufficiently equipped with a 2.0 megapixel camera and microSD with expandable memory to add to the 256MB of internal Flash.

HTC Shift

Resembling a mini laptop, the HTC Shift works well in a clever sliding mechanism that comes with a 7″ 800×480 pixel touchscreen display. Although it has a VGA resolution camera with web conferencing, it doesn’t come with a digital camera which might seem all too weird for a device this size.

The HTC Shift has a huge 1 GB of RAM, a choice of 40 or 80GB hard disk, USB 2.0 port and WiFi connectivity and best of all, it has fingerprint recognition for added security.
