Samsung Wave S8500 World’s First Phone With New Picsel File Viewer

Samsung Wave which was recently unveiled as the world’s first DivX HD certified mobile phone will also be the first phone to feature the latest version of Picsel File Viewer according to Picsel, a leading provider of business productivity applications.

The Samsung Wave S8500 is the first smartphone based on the Bada OS and will come with the latest version of Picsel File Viewer, the popular mobile application that provides support for Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe PDF.

Features of the latest Picsel File Viewer includes faster panning and zooming, multiple page views, continuous page scrolling and higher quality screen update.

The Samsung is set on a release of around May 14 in UK with a price tag of 380 Euros (about $500). US release date is yet to be determined.

Specs of the Samsung Wave S8500 includes a 3.3 inch WVGA Super AMOLED display, 1 GHz processor, support DivX, Xvid, WMV and MP4 video files, HD video recording, 5 megapixel camera, 3G connectivy and 32GB expandable memory.

The Samsung Wave S8500 will also be a contender against HTC HD2, HTC Desire.
